Project
Andreu World
A restrained Toronto showroom where preserved masonry, luminous white planes and precisely built display platforms create a quiet architectural backdrop for Andreu World.
The Project
The Andreu World showroom is conceived as a calm, gallery-like environment within the existing fabric of a historic Toronto building. Guido Costantino Projects retained the character of the original masonry and structural elements, setting them against a series of crisp white volumes and pale modular plinths that organize circulation, display and changes in level without overwhelming the space. The result is deliberately quiet: furniture, material and proportion remain the focus while the architecture works through contrast, light and carefully controlled transitions. Cerque’s construction work centred on the precision behind that restraint — coordinating the new insertions with the existing building, resolving stepped platforms and edges, integrating lighting and services, and executing the finely detailed surfaces required for the showroom to read as one continuous composition.
