The Project

Park Ave is a contemporary Oakville residence defined by material precision, quiet proportions and a close relationship between architecture, interiors and landscape. The exterior is composed in custom-cut limestone brick, giving the house a substantial, carefully articulated presence. Large Reynaers window and door systems in a custom bronze anodized finish bring warmth and depth to the façade while creating expansive connections to the surrounding landscape. Inside, the architecture becomes warmer and increasingly tactile. Poliform millwork is integrated throughout the principal spaces, bringing furniture-like refinement to cabinetry and storage while reinforcing the clean architectural lines of the home. In the kitchen, the millwork is paired with a fully integrated suite of Miele appliances, allowing the functional elements of the space to remain visually quiet and consistent with the broader interior language. The bathrooms continue the same approach, incorporating antoniolupi fixtures and fittings within calm, minimal compositions where stone, millwork and architectural lighting are treated as part of a single design language. A defining quality of Park Ave is the consistency of its detailing. Custom limestone, bronze-finished glazing, bespoke millwork, integrated appliances, lighting and interior finishes were coordinated so that individual elements rarely call attention to themselves. Instead, they contribute to an overall sense of clarity and permanence. For Cerque, the project demanded a high level of coordination between architecture, interior design, fabrication and construction. The success of the finished residence lies in the precision of those interfaces — where limestone meets glazing, millwork aligns with architectural openings, and highly detailed assemblies are ultimately experienced as simple, deliberate elements. The result is a home that feels refined without being formal: quietly luxurious, materially rich and carefully resolved at every scale.
